THE TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK
 This
National Park, being the major tourist attraction of the region, covers
an area of 181.000 hectares and is located to the north of Seno de
Ultima Esperanza (Sound), at 150 Km from Puerto Natales and 400 Km
from Punta Arenas. Created in 1959 and declared a Biosphere Reserve
by the UNESCO in 1978. It has three main entrances: Portería Sarmiento,
Laguna Amarga (Lagoon) and Laguna Azul (Lagoon).
This Park has extraordinary beauties and roads fit for trekking and
other activities. They run through many different settings such as
pampas, dense regional forests, and lagoons with impressive icebergs
and glaciers, all of it surrounded by gigantic rocks emulating the
shape of horns that receive the appropriate name of "Cuernos del Paine"
(horns).

PUERTO NATALES
This is the capital city of Ultima Esperanza, one of our region's provinces.
It has a population of 18.081 inhabitans and it is located 247 Km to
the northwest of Punta Arenas. It is the start off point for all the
tourist excursions headed to the interior of the province, where all
the major attractions are found. From this point you will be able to
get to cities located in Argentina, such as Calafate, Río Gallegos,
and many other.
CERRO CASTILLO
It is
Torres del Paine capital, located 57 Km to the north of Puerto Natales.
It has a population of 300 inhabitants, most of whom are dedicated to
raising cattle. A great part of its buildings date from the beginnings
of the century and belonged to the former "Cerro Castillo Estancia"
(farm), considered the largest continental part of the region. Aerovías
DAP offers charter flight services all the way to Cerro Castillo's landing
strip, right at the entrance of Torres del Paine National Park bringing
the tourist closer to this natural sanctuary in a comfortable way within
only an hour's flight.
Alternatively, you may take a flight from Punta Arenas (Carlos Ibañez
del Campo Airport) and over-fly Puerto Natales, Seno de Ultima Esperanza
(Sound), valleys and the majestic Torres del Paine National Park. This
journey will provide sights of mountains, rivers and beautiful glaciers,
with their amazing colours and breath-taking scenery that is world renowned.

Extention to Puerto
Natales
This Air-Cruise, besides over flying the route to Puerto Natales, is
granted permission by the city's airport to land there for an hour in
order to provide the passengers with some time to see the city and it's
surroundings.

Calafate is a small tourist village located
in the province of Santa Cruz and close to the Glaciers National
Park in the South Patagonia steppe.
In the Glaciers National Park one finds
the Perito Moreno Glacier 50 kilometers from the city of Calafate.
In it you may see glaciers in eternal movement, colored in all ranges
of white to deep blue, the glacier landscape is framed by hills
of the Andean-Patagonia mountain range, of slopes covered with forests
and steppes, that with different seasons change from green to red,
to yellow, and to white; as it covers itself with buds, flowers,
fruits, dry leaves, snow.

RIO GALLEGOS
The Capital of the province of Santa Cruz,
RIO GALLEGOS, is the departure point for the excursions to the Southern
Patagonia. It has a great diversity of services, international airport,
banks, hotels, restaurants, etc.

Arenas and other cities of Patagonia by charter.
